WESAF Red Insulating Varnish, manufactured by Zenith Spray and Aerosols Private Limited, is a professional-grade, single-component, air-drying Class F styrenated flexible epoxy insulating varnish formulated for electrical insulation, moisture protection and restoration of electrical components. It provides a tough, industrial-strength coating with excellent adhesion, flexibility and resistance to oil, moisture, temperature fluctuations, acids, alkalies and outdoor weathering.
The cured coating provides a high dielectric strength of 2,100 Volts/Mil and forms a smooth, glossy and pinhole-free dielectric film. Its flexible nature allows the coating to accommodate heat-related expansion and contraction, helping prevent cracking and ageing during service.
WESAF Red Insulating Varnish is particularly suitable for improving insulation resistance (IR) values of electric motors, including new, old and rewound motors. It can be used to protect electrical leads, coat frayed insulation and restore dielectric properties affected by frictional wear. The coating also helps insulate and seal moisture out of armature windings, high-voltage circuits, commutator ends and coils. It is especially recommended for electrical windings exposed to repeated moisture, voltage and amperage fluctuations, as well as motors subjected to frequent start-stop operations.

Application
For best results, remove loose dirt, dust, grease, wax and rust from the surface before application. Shake the aerosol can vigorously for approximately one minute. Hold the can about 12–14 inches from the surface and apply 3–4 light coats rather than one heavy coat. The darkness of the colour indicates the approximate coating thickness. After use, turn the can upside down and spray for approximately three seconds to clear the valve and help prevent clogging.
